Default What dizzy do I need?

Hi,

I have a 92 civic sedan with a b20b. The dizzy has gone bad and I'm not sure what model vehicle I need to purchase a new one from? I believe I'm odb0 if I have to check my cel under passenger side dash correct?

This is a pic of one on car currently.

Also as you can see in pic what is that piece that has copper coils wrapped around it? They are frayed and not packed tightly anymore.

Grey plugs = not pre-OBD (OBD0)
Two grey plugs = OBD1

General rule of thumb, match the distributor to the ECU (not an absolute).

Easiest thing to do, look at the stamp on the leg of the distributor and buy the same thing.

Ex. TD-42

Look for some sort of marking like that.

There is no stamp or sticker on this. Go figure.

But autozone shows different part numbers for 92-93 integra from 94-95

Use the '94-95 Integra LS/RS/GS distributor. Don't buy one from AutoZone (or any local parts store for that matter), because the one's that they sell are of low quality and fail often. You are better off to find a used one in a salvage yard or a local Honda/Acura tuner. If you have the $$$, get a brand new one from Acura. It will last over 125K miles on average, so you will probably never have to think about it again.
