Car wont start...
Let me just start off by saying Ive searched and searched through this forum and other but still can't solve my issue. I did a gsr swap about a month ago into my 96 civic coupe, ever since then it's been nothing but problems. First car was in limp mode from the start switched tps and been doing it off and on and dont really know if that has been fixed since car wont start. Well my big issue right now is the car wont start. There is power to the starter when I turn the key but no spark or fuel pump prime. My check engine light goes dim when key is in on position (all other cluster lights normal) and no light on ecu port (hondata s300). I've checked all grounds including on thermostat even switched new main relay. Weird thing when I unplugged my main relay check engine light when bright like normal. I'm completely stumped, would love some help.
Id really love to help but im considered a troll here

To help others help give more details

Engine harness
Year of motor (obd1 or 2 )

If you have a schematic or know how to read one

Youre missing voltage to the ecu for one

That alone wont let the fuel pump prime since the main relay gets its signal from the ecu

Same with the icm for no spark

Check youre ipg1 and 2 inputs for 12 volts at the ecu and if you dont have 12v trace back from there

http://ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2a.htm

Pinout

Next check your grounds gp1 and 2

From the ecu end of the harness to the thermostat housing ground

Or to any where on the chassis

To be more specific

Check for continuity from gp1 to the thermostat ground or anywhere on the chassis
Same for gp2

Also switch your leads around and probe the igp1 with the negative and the positive at gp1 and check for 12v

Alright I feel stupid, even though I checked all my grounds in came to be the thermostat ground after all. For some reason the hole on the thermostat wasnt giving a good ground point. I moved it to different spot and car started right up. Smh.
