Icon4 97 Honda Accord Does Not Start

Hello,

I am dealing with an interesting issue in which my Honda Accord will not start.

Stats: 97 honda accord
85,000 miles
4 cylinder
non-Vtec

Background: The problem started a couple months ago, as I would drive the car it would completely stall out, the gauges go to 0 but it returns to normal after a half second. This continued to happen more frequently, at the end sometimes twice in one trip. The problem progressed into times where it would shut off and would not come back on until I wiggled the key. Maybe two months ago, I tried to start my car and the car only clicked when I put the key in to the start position. One click from the solenoid. After turning the key a few times to the start position, it would role over. This began to happen more frequently. About a week ago the car refused to start. I had to put the key into the start position maybe 50 times until it finally rolled over. I am now at a place where no matter how many times I turn the key, it will not turn on.

What I have done: Replaced the ignition switch
Tested the Starter at Autozone
Attempted to jump the car (charged the battery from a 2006 Hyundai Tuscon for 4 minutes at 1500RPM)

Anything you guys can suggest would be a tremendous help, because I am at a loss. Help?

Did you replace the ignition switch(electrical) or the key cylinder?
Verify all grounds and bonding jumper are installed correctly with clean/tight connections.
Verify the battery connections are clean and tight.
Verify no damage to the underhood fuse box(where the (+) cable attaches).
Verify the battery is holding a full charge.
Verify battery voltage at the ignition switch(electrical).

I did change the electrical part of the ignition switch.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will grab my voltage meter and check your list of things to check.

I will post my findings.

My 2000 accord did the exact same thug. Turned out to be the safety neutrals switch. (In automatic) apparently it's a crappy design. I just by passes it (after spending $350 in parts I didn't need), by putting a hot wire ran to a switch under dash. Turn key, hit switch, fires right up. I have 9 Hondas and 8 of them have down this.

Thank you. I thought that this might have been a possible culprit. I will add that to the list of tests and post the results.
