so i stumbled into this car in a trade for my old 95 525i
its nh61 color beige white, with an auto trans and original motor. got some kind of ford carb? dash says 44k miles, but who knows how many times its past the 100k mark and started over..
anyway, car body is pretty dam solid, with only a few random rust spots on the rear wheel well and under the chicken strip on the roof. the strut towers and underneath are rust free...a sight to be seen
someone cut the rear springs, one side more than an inch lower than the other. the result is a heavily gashed sidewall on the passenger rear tire. the radiator leaks. a lot. the trans leaks. the struts are beat. the interior is in need of a complete redo.
my goals:
b series swap, with 5 speed. this is my first honda. with the couple weeks of research, im prob going to do a b series, with a 5 speed cable trans. i know the axles wont fit, and im excited to bring out the welder for watever i can. depending on the b motor i find....i may drop a low boosting turbo setup in, between 5-8 psi.. id love to see close to 300hp, but probably going to settle around 240-250.. i have a great deal on a lower gsr (b18c3?) lower end, but not sure if its the block to use?
let me know what you think... and if anyone has ideas, shoot.
