Found a round color matched to my 93 vx(blue) plastic plug that was dry rotted under my driver side dash on my floor-mat. Also noticed a moist carpet only under my floor mat. Not sure if they are related,(probably part of the recall from 95 for more sealant) but curious where this cap/plug came from.

I know it's not the famous clutch or brake light stopper.

Here is a slight piece of whats left of the cap.

Thank you in advance. Unrelated, but the car has 232k miles and still bangs out 51mpg.

 

It looks like a part of a piece that holds the carpet to the firewall.
