My 96 civic sunroof won't open. When I press the button to open it I can hear the motor trying to open the sunroof but it won't move. To me it sounds like something is blocking it. What do you think I should check first? Thanks.

Maybe it's the switch.. my EG had the same problem got a,new motor too and it still did it.. can you manually close it?

I took the whole thing out to see if it's blockage but saw nothing with the new motor I manually open and closed it.. It was fine

Put it back in and it worked

When I used the switch it opens and closes but the vent setting doesn't I need a new switch.. so try that first...
