New to the site. Thanks for making this available. We have a 1991 Wagovan base without power steering 130,000 miles. The a/c has been intermittently working. Driving down the road at constant RPM when it is turned on the A/C will run kinda cold for 1-5 mins then turn warm again. I am wondering if this is a clutch issue, a solenoid issue, or if the whole compressor needs to be changed.

 

Diagnostic information is needed. Check whether the condenser fan is not running and the compressor clutch is disengaged when A/C blows warm. Post findings.
