Howdy, been a long time since I posted but needed to come back for some advice.

Ive got a 1991 Honda Civic DX, 4 speed, no AC, no power steering, **** box. Its my daily putt putt car.

Driving to work today I stopped at the gas station to pick up a couple items and when I tried to start the car back up, it just cranked and cranked but wouldnt start. After a couple second of cranking the check engine light came on. Tried to start it a couple more times only to get the same result.

I was able to get it running after the help of a couple guys pushing me so I could push start it. Once it was running it was fine. My wife said that this happened to her a few days ago but after sitting for a few minutes it started right up.

Any insight on what may be causing this issue?

 

What did you check already?

 

New distributor, cap, rotor, wires and plugs 2 years ago. New starter about a 1.5 years ago.

 

Main?

 

Havent checked the main yet. Not even sure where its located in the car.

 

fuse box under steering wheel.

 

Oh, you mean that real fun spot that makes me want to rinse my mouth out with my glock?

 

Yeah somewhere around there.
