Crunch noise when braking or turning
Hi,
I hear a crunch/grinding noise when: 1. I brake the car at very slow speed and it halts; 2. sometimes when I lift the foot of the brake and the car starts moving; and 3. when the car is standing still and I turn the wheels either right or left.
I have replaced the axles because of a clunking noise when turning (they were lacking grease essentially) and that is gone. Now I have the crunch noise.
I am the new owner of a 2002 and the previous owner neglected maintenance for the last couple of years or so. As a consequence, rust starts creeping in.
Thanks,
Gene
