Civic with h series swap doesn't want to stay on???
Hi there ht
I have a 00' civic dx with an h23a1 block with an h22a head
I had a question..
When I turn it on it doesn't want to stay on, I have to give it gas in order to stay on but also when I give it gas the throttle response isn't good it lags everyone I give it gas...
Recently the alternator had gave out on me but I got an alternator from an 91' prelude with a 2.1? Motor? P
Can't really remember the size or anything but the reason n why I got it was because I was told I could still use it... The pulley on the alternator I have now is only like 4 teeth and my belt is 6 teeth it still wraps around the pulley but I feel that since it's a wider belt Idk if the pulley is in contact with the belt as it should be... Would this be a reason why my car acts funny? And all?
Any opinions and help would be great
Thank you guys in advance

Probably not, but you need to eliminate known issues before moving forward as a part of diagnostic.
is there a check engine light?
