Wrong alternator in my civic, where did it come from?
Previous owner put the wrong alternator on my civic . It works fine and actually bolts up to my 93 lx so I'm guessing it's from a different year and/or model. The problem is that the threads or grooves in the pulley have only 2 (dunno the correct wording?)teeth where as a 93 lx would need 3. How did I find out? The belt for the altenator is tore up so I bought a new one and when I installed it the belt was slightly too wide for the pulley. I also noticed the altenator is fairly new and so was the belt. Anyway, what year/model civic could this altenator have came from? I'm buying the correct alternator, I just need to know so I can either re-sell this one correctly or what not.
thanks in advance.

Re: Wrong alternator in my civic, where did it come from? (i_am_a_black_man)
want to explain that?
Anyone know if I can just buy a correct pulley and swap it on? Would cost cheaper than a whole altenator.
