Hey peeps I found some interesting things today in my b16a jdm.so I was reading and doing my normal research as I do everyday about itr heads pr3-4 and such.was reading that u would know if it was an itr by seeing dual valve springs ok.so I take off my valve cover cuz I plan on painting it anyways and I'm looking at the valve springs.i notice scoring on the head area.some may look factory but some dont.it looks like whoever had it before had to drill some material out to reseat the springs.why would they have to do that.im getting ready for the rebuild and still don't know much about the car yet.dont know if it was rebuilt yet.and i still couldn't get a good look at the springs to see if their dual lol.whats your opinions if it was your car thanks guys

 

Bolt the valve cover back on and dont work on your car.

Getting ready for a rebuild? What for? Not really sure whether the engine had been previously rebuilt matters too much.

Dam bro lol it look exactly like that lol that's crazy.those are factory marks?never seen that before looks like someone drilled em out to seat bigger or dual springs.thanks alot man I really appreciate that .
