Default Anyone riding on Eibach Pro Kit springs?

Anyone have Eibach Pro Kit springs with their struts/shocks or different struts/shocks? I just want to lower my 97 HX a little while having the best ride possible. I DON'T race, I just cruise and go with the flow. I drive for a living and I can't afford to screw up my commercial license.

I have them in my 96 hatch. Great daily spring with plenty of ground clearance.

They work great with stock shocks. But you'd do better with even something as cost effective as Koni STRT.

With Koni Yellows, they're really amazing in terms of ride quality and fun.

Thanks for your input ryanplayjoint and B serious. I'm debating whether to get the Eibach pkg with springs and struts/shocks or just their springs and Koni's. Maybe I'll splurge and get the yellow even though I'll most likely have them at the softest setting. At least I'll have the option to tighten them up.

Another option is stock CTR suspension. Little lower than stock, stiffer springs, feels great.

i recommend prokits. just enough drop with plenty of ground clearance. and very streetable stiffness.

worked well with illuminas on my CRX. great combo.

not so much with koni yellows. yellows have too much rebound damping, not enough compression damping for the progressive rear spring rates. not sure how the springs are wound for your car, so might be different. probably not.

Konis dont have too much rebound/not enough bump for these springs. Plenty of people use them with stock springs.

Pro kits are about the same rate as OTS ground control sleeves, IIRC.

I'll probably get the pro Kits with Eibach struts and springs. My suspension isn't blown or riding horrible so I can take my time and keep researching.

Stock height looks a little better since I plasti dipped my HX rims.

Hmotorsonline.com or jdmenginescorp.com etc. Lots of JDM importers sell them for about $300 shocks and springs. Make sure you buy a CTR setup...not ITR. ITR rear shocks won't fit a 6th gen civic.

Whats New At hmotorsonline.com®

It was $248 shipped to me. You live in Oceanside, you might even be able to save a few bucks on shipping and pick them up.

I believe from the research I did the CTR spring rates are 240 or 250lbs Linear in the front with 240 or 250 progressive in the rear.

Here is a picture. I had literally just dropped the car off the jacks, it has settled a little bit since then. It could also be the angle of the picture. It definitely looks and feels lower in person. Personally, I feel it is a better 'bang for the buck' than any aftermarket spring, aside from coilovers, but then you are getting into custom rates. VERY daily driver still, but it feels good in the mountains as well. It could also be me just feeling better since the car came with eBay suspension when I first acquired it. These are 14" wheels also, which makes it look like a little more gap than there really is.

I found this : Bang for Buck: ek9 springs/shocks on Em1/Ek4 - Page 3

There is a list of spring rates.

Eibach ProKit - 290F/190R (P/P

The Eibachs are actually a little stiffer up front, but progressive rather than linear (meaning they are softer than 290lbs when unsprung, but compressed in a turn, they'll stiffen up to the full 290lbs) but the rear is softer than the factory CTR suspension.

I believe the Pro Kit will lower as much or more than the factory CTR suspension, which sits about a 1" lower than your car.

(Stock CTR suspension on a CTR, 15" wheels)

Thanks for all the info. One more noob question on suspension/handling. Do sway bars affect ride quality or only improve handling in turns? Sorry for my noobyness.

Yes, much. Mostly in turn-in, rear bar is more for inducing oversteer/reducing understeer.

I got the pro kit plus. Springs, struts and sway bars. Rides decent on the daily and handles good in the corners. I kinda wish I would a gone with the sport tho ( which I will buy soon)

Sportline springs are way too low and ride like **** on civic/integra applications.

Pro kits ride really nicely on the other hand.
