So i have a 97 itr. originally the problem i was having was the starter solenoid was going so i went out and got a brand new bosch starter and installed that and now the car wont start or turn over at all. ive also put in a new ignition switch and have checked everything else i can think of (power, grounds, fuses etc) i find it odd that the car was starting before and now just nothing and all ive done is change the starter and switch. any suggestions or possibilities for things i might be over looking or should check?

i havent checked much with the battery yet simply because its only like a year old and has a disconnect switch on it so its been turned off until now pretty much, but i will do some more testing on that to make sure

 

I had a trickle charger on my battery and it started fine after winter. Let it run for a good 29 mins. Turned off and it wouldn't start again even after I put the trickle in it again.

Connected a new red top I just ordered from eBay and it fired right up.

Went and got a brand new Oreilly battery just to help out the thieves that took her a couple weeks ago.

 

Have you tried running a hot wire to where the White/Black wire is that cranks over the starter to see if it turns?

 

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I can Hotwire it from the prong on the solenoid to the ground cable/nut and the car will start
