Hi hope some one can help I have just installed std acl race bearings on my b20 build and the clearances on all 5 caps are a even 0.024 mm I no this is right on the limit on the spec of 0.024 to 0.038 new. just concerned if this may be too tight?

 

yeah its really tight! go with acl race hx or mahle clevite race hx bearing or king xp hx

 

Thanks that was my next thought. Am I also correct thinking you can mix half bearings ie half std and half HX ?

 

I wouldnt mix...put hx on the main..on rod too.

 

you can mix oem's by 1 color difference, dont mix hx and regular the difference is too large. definitely run the acl's on your rods
