Just making this thread to contribute to the large database of honda information on the internet. I hope this info helps someone who finds themself in a jam or ready to do some work on there car.

when i changed my upper control arms they did not easily come off. even if you unbolt the bushing from the arm. There is no room to wiggle the bracket/bushings out from behind the shock. What i did to get it out was unbolt the 2 shock bolts on top (in the engine bay) and dropped the shock down. I was able to then remove the bracket/bushing assembly right over the top of the shock, quick and easy. Also using this method you can easily instal the upper control arm in once piece (without undoing the bushing bolts). When i did this i did it by first bringing the ball joint side over the shock (the ball joint will be facing the engine and the bushings will be facing you). Once the upper control arm is over the shock, bring it down a little, and spin it around. And you are done.

Also watch out for the brake lines. dont want to smash them. Also keep the knuckle supported so you are not putting stress on the lines/ cv axle. i tied the upper nuckle arm to something and kept a jack under neath the lower control arm by the LBJ. Once upper arm over the shock use the jack to lift the shock assembly back into place and install all bolts. Also make sure your upper control arm bushing bolts are clocked at about 90degrees when tightened or just tighten them when the car is on ground.
