00 civic ex - d16y8 to y7 swap. primary o2 sensor issues
New to the forums! And already have an issue to share with the community. I had an engine swap from a y8 to a y7 due to throwing a rod... Loved that vtec sound... Its a 2000 Honda civic ex. Now just yesterday I swapped in the correct pcm\ecu p2e A92... Thats working fine. Then noticed check engine light is still on... Went down to auto zone to pull code and got the po135... So I noticed my primary o2 sensor is not connected to an harness... I noticed a cut green/black wire sitting there once I pulled up the o2 sensor from hanging user the car. Is the cut wire where that should be connected? I also have two unused connecters that sit right under the distributed.. Maybe if I find a longer o2 sensor can I run it there? What are my options...? Will upload images
Primary o2 sensor that was found hanging..
Two unused connecters within a firewall? Left side of engine... Can I use these if I connect a longer o2 sensor pigtail?
Greenlack cut wire? Is this the destination for the o2 sensor harness?
How my primary o2 is setup on exhaust
Yes its all the stock harnesses from the old y8 swap.
The one I have in the pic with the two harnesses? Not familiar with electrical. How do you mean by extending? Extend to where? Extend primary o2 sensor?

Did you swap the Y8 exhaust manifold over? Use the Y8'smanifold and connect the sensors back where they were. That swap should be plug and play if both engine were 99-00 and considering they both used 3 wire IACV's.
Yes I swapped over the y8's manifold. I'm just having a hard time figuring out were the primary harness would be located? Do you know? Behind engine or is it in front within then firewalls I have show in picture?
YOu need to use the o2 sensor from a y8. The ends are different from a y7 o2 sensor. I had to create an harness to connect my y7 o2 sensor to a y8 harness.
I got it figured it out everybody... I'm just going to drill a hole in this manifold that came off the y8 and put the new o2 sensor there.
