Default Cali b16a2 1999 honda civic ecu question

Hello ive searched and searched and i cant for the life of me find anything solid on this. I heard about the 99-00 si p2t ecu not connecting correctly, ive been told to run a obd2b ls ecu, also have been told to run a vafc on the 99 p2p, sourcing a del sol p30 ecu etc etc. Can someone who has experienced this before give me any info? The motor is a 99 b16a2 into a 1999 civic lx obd2b all the smog components are there, just trying to figure out the ecu issue. Thanks fellas

P2T or OBD2 P30 with adapter is the way to go. Can't use an OBD2B Intergra ECU as it uses an immobilizer. VAFC is a garbage band aid for any application.

Not sure now. I assumed he meant that a code reader doesn't connect/communicate with the current ECU.
