2001 Honda CRV busted brake line... near ABS controller... best way to access?
I have a 2001 Honda CRV that the brakes gave way when depressed. Most of the fluid drained quickly. Discovered significant amount of brake fluid above passenger side tire area and dispersed around the general area. I suspect, after looking at diagrams, that there is a leak at the line where it connects to the ABS controller (I think). It seems to be right under the battery but hard to visualize or access.
The line that runs to the front passenger side brake caliper is fine and not leaking. The leak is above there somewhere where the non-bending line attaches to what I believe is the ABS modulator. Correct me if I am wrong.
How do I access what I think is the ABS controller/modulator? I can't seem to get to where I need to be having removed the battery and the plate beneath it. There is a large square mounting dome of metal that seems to be in my way. Do I need to remove that and how?
Clearly I am a novice and learning but could use some help accessing this leak to visualize it and see what to fix. Trying to save some dough I don't have and have always driven hondas, bikes as well.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This would have been better suited being posted in the CRV sub-forum...
A picture would help here as I am not sure why you would be trying to reach the ABS modulator from the battery side. Here is a brake diagram to better help you get the complete system picture in your head.

you usually have to remove everything that is in the way, brake lines are installed prior to the engine going in, so they are often a pain to access in a running car...
Please disregard the previous message there is no and modulator where the leak was, buried under collected muck that corrode it at the bend. All fixed up, it was a visual error on my part. Thanks for responding regardless.
