Ridgeline RTX 2007 0WX40 Engine oil
Can the Honda Ridgeline RTX ( 3.0 engine) handle 0wX40 Mobile oil ?
My Ridgline has 127,000 miles and presently sounds like it has "piston slap"
I have only used 5x20 Mobile 1 since it had 40,000 miles on it.
I ran some gumout in the tank yesterday just in case it had CCDI issues ( combustion chamber deposit interference)
I hooked up my ODBII and the spark timing shows 10 degrees advance with a fluctuation of 8-12 degrees.
I am assuming that the knock sensor is working. The knocking increases in frequency when I depress the gas pedal a bit.
How do you verify that the knock sensor is working? Does the sensor do anything while the truck is just sitting in place idling after it has warmed up ?
I only use the highest grade of gas (91 octane in my area)
So , can the engine handle 0WX 40 engine oil ?
