FA5 - FD2 conversion PasswordJDM /ZESTJDM
Hello,
I am not sure if I am in the right section, move if need be however; I am considering on doing a FD2 conversion on my FA5 and after long hours of research all I am able to find Is the replica Conversion kits and am unable to find fitment threads regarding the aftermarket conversions.
I am wanting to know if anyone has purchased the Password JDM FD2 Front or rear conversion kit (Type R or RNR) and if any cutting sanding etc.. is needed, or are you able to bolt all parts on with no problems?
Also would like to know the Quality of the material that is used compared to the OEM one as it states on the website all OE material is used.
The links to the websites I found for the conversions are provided below:
JDM Style FD2 CTR Front End Conversion for 06-11 Civic 4dr | Password JDM
JDM FD2 Type-R Front End Conversion Kit *Bundle Pricing*
Thank you for reading and your inputs regarding the threads would be much appreciated if negative or positive.

Honda sold the JDM civic in Canada as an Acura. I'm sure you could find the front/rear end fairly easily at an importer or junk yard for the same price or less. Will be all OEM parts and will ensure a good fitment.
Edit: Now that think about it, you might even be able to find a whole car cheap.

You can other the parts from Acura... but alos Kplayground.ca has the conversion for sale and it looks pretty good.
Ken and Jason both did but did it with OEM parts... it all depends on your budget.

your best bet is to go to a scrapyard in Canada and hope you find a CSX front end there...
If not you either order everything OEM new or get the Rep stuff. My buddy did the rep bumper, oem fenders and carbon fiber hood. Headlights he got off of a CSX that was totalled.
Best of luck.

do you have pics of the car? and did he have any fitment issues at all or gaps with the replica parts? also with fenders, I've read that you do need some fender brackets since they are wider and a couple other brackets for headlights etc. is that correct?
Yes that is correct... the fenders are 10mm wider. Which makes it great for ppl wanting to run wider tires!
Honestly it looked good. The Rep kit isn't that bad... he had no gaps. The one my friend got is from Kplayground.ca and it looked good... came with everything too!
I don't have pics right now but I can get by tomorrow for sure.

Like he said above it all depends your budget. I have a 90% OEM conversion except the fenders and those I purchased from zest jdm. the body shop I use actually had to modify the fenders to fit the OEM front bumper due to the fact the 10mm makes a big difference when lining up the fenders.

from what iv been finding for the front its the bumper AND headlights. do you have to run the fenders? what about the hood. don't want to buy stuff I don't need. car will be painted
The fenders would fit on the Si chassis with regards to the hood lines, but might be wider at the wheel side ( as they said, 10mm ), so I too might look into these for my FA5 as the wheel spacers I am using for my Type R brake install are creating rubbing issues on the fender liners due to wider stance.

I am running an Acura CSX hood on my Si ( factory approved repair for hail damaged hood ). It is the same as my Honda Si hood as it doesn't have the crease down the centerline as the CSX normally does.
