What low-effort performance upgrades are available for a 2008 Civic Coupe?
Hey guys. I just bought the aforementioned 2008 Civic Coupe. It's the nicest car I've ever owned. I came from a 2000 Integra and on the Integra, there were these adjustable KYB shocks available that could be adjusted from 1-4 and installing those made the car so much fun to drive.
I looked on Rockauto and of course those shocks aren't available for our cars.
The car handles fine, but I'd like it to feel a little more "fun to drive," if you get my drift.
The only thing I can think of that's at the level I'm looking for is polyurethane away bar bushings, but those aren't going to wake this car up like the struts did to the Acura.
I don't really want to lower it because I don't want to take the car too far away from the original intended configuration. But I could be talked into it if it's a well-understood and common process.
Come at me! How do I make my car more fun to drive?

Have you looked at any of the Honda Factory Performance suspension parts? They won't void warranties (no need to worry about that in this case) and are straight up bolt on applications.

If you want adjustable and good quality going with a Koni Yellow setup... or you can get BC Racing coilovers and have them revalved.
Either option is very good quality. I have the Redshift Koni Coilover kit made by Redshift Motorsports. They have been revalved to race spec. He also is doing the BC Racing revalving.
I would give him a call his name is Chris and speak with him as he is known as the suspension guru... has his own suspension dyno and was doing a lot of work for Fortune Auto when they started up now he is doing his own thing. Also National Champion in Autocross.
