Looking to purchase a JDM OEM ITR header and the seller emailed me these pics. Will these scratches affect performance? Is there anything else that you can see wrong?

the two lower tubes are bent in alittle and will hurt performance I would find another or get a new one

i've seen worse... but man, i've never seen white inside the tubes...

 

thats what I was thinking. mine where all black and nasty inside. Where they somehow cleaned or something.

 

I really don't know. Owner said head was ported by DPR if that make a difference.

 

Thats alittle more then scratches, you should pass on those and get a header without dents.

In the first picture, the dents look bad.

In the side-view (second) picture, the dents aren't as noticeable.

The white inside the collectors looks like a) the work of a flash and b) if it was in fact ported by dpr, then it would be shiny in there, and therefore the camera flash + ported collectors = bright color, i.e., white! That is, of course, in my own opinion.

I'd get some opinions from people who have actually had dented headers. I can't tell from those pictures and can't see how anyone else could really tell! The pics are very vague!! Can the seller get some close-ups (much closer) from above and from the side and maybe a few other angles to better determine the extent of the damage???

Chris - who didn't think it was that bad and doesn't understand all the 'don't buy it' comments on such ambiguous pictures.
