I have a 1989 Honda Civic si all stock I was having an electrical issue with my Distributor the engine wire harness had a short my mechanic found and fixed the wiring. I runs perfect but now when I turn off the car the battery light stays on? I just got it from autozone could it be that I still have a electrical short or could it be the alternator? Any one have this issue before? Thanks in advanced?

 

The battery light comes on when the alternator is not charging....
