battery light on... why?

battery light on... why?
just degreased my engine with some random "engine degreaser". now why is this battery light on? coincidence that my battery is low?... or is it because i sprayed something i shouldn't have?

the battery light never has to do with the battery itself.. it means that your not charging.. u must have sprayed the alternator and now its not charging... i would wait and let it dry off.. and see if the light turns off. and if not so u must have fryed the alternator... good luck

my battery is good.. i just checked it.
i may have fried the alternator. i've taken out the battery cables when my car was runnig and it shut off. it should've dried by now.
could it be a fuse? could it be a wire not conducting?

Whats the voltage at on the charging system under full load?
