I have a 97 Civic Ex with a 99 B20b engine and Si trans... I used the OBD2A SOHC VTEC engine harness converted to OBD1 with a LS ECU... I can't remember what I did with the dizzy in order to get the car to run but I think I used the SOHC dizzy internals inside the B20 dizzy...

** I want the tach to work like it should, and to find a off the shelf store bought dizzy for my swap without having to rig some **** up all the time... **

You shouldn't have needed to do anything to the distributor. It sounds like you've done some damage there.

 

The dizzy wouldn't plug up, the B20b dizzy is OBD2B... I'm running a OBD2A engine harness

 

You need to use a '96-98 Integra LS (B18B) distributor or a '97 USDM CR-V distributor. This will plug directly into the '97 Civic engine harness distributor plug without modification. You can still use the OBD-1 ECU... and you should get that ECU chipped and tuned to make it perfect.
