Whats the best catback exhaust for my CRX?
It is for running NA , but i want mandrel bend. There is a custom set-up on it right now that someone else did 2 1/4" piping and it keeps hitting the suspension they bent the pipes wrong. I know OBX exausts are kinda cheap but are they any good? and where can i get one from?
Can someone give a cat back exhaust a descent one around $300 that sounds nice and deep. Thanks....
Aluminum piping eventually rusts, and will rot out/break.
It's better to drop 5 bills on a stainless system that wil last for years than something that will fall apart much faster and need to be replaced........ just my opinion.

I saw someone in the classifieds selling a DC cat-back for 300. You might want to check that one out. I've heard that it's sounds pretty good. For me I have the Tanabe Racing medallion. Nice and deep, or near stock with the silencer attached.
Regarding issue of mandrel bends, IMO unless u have a lot of crazy *** mods it's not bang for the buck. Well if u have high end plans for ur car and money to spend, then I guess it's alright, but FYI u won't notice too much of a difference except for how much lighter ur wallet gonna be.
I suggest as mentioned just get a SS catback (not customized); this way u'll have the stainless steel piping, and mandrel bend. As for DC Sports I think they only came in 2" piping.

here is my ranking of exhust
1) thermal
2) tanabe RM
3) custom
4) DC sports.... but kinda small... sound alrite.
I have the Tanabe racing medallion on my 90civic hb si. It was made for the CRX but after i got into a car accident(salvaged) i got another EF. I just had to weld about 9 inches of additional piping to make it longer.(just before the piping truns to the right side. looks hella tight.

you can get an OBX for around $300 on http://www.massivemotorsports.com but poeple say they are pretty damn loud.
I am probably going to go with a Apexi ws cause I want a quiet exhaust.
I like the thermals though.

If you want something that sounds good, only DC and Greddy are a sure-bet...... I;ve heard too many Tanabe/Thermal/custom exhausts sound like weedwackers on crack....... it's just horrible.....

If it's a turbo on a GSR, you're looking to build the easiest flowing system you can. Otherwise you'll increase your lag time. With a 1.8 honda motor, I believe 3" is the hot number... Can anyone verify me on that?
For N/A, I bought a bunch of cheap ractive exhaust stuff once. Cost me around $375. (4-2-1 Header/cat/muffler/cheesy 4" tip) I had the catback/overaxle custom bent out of stainless. It wasn't mandrel, but it's 2 1/2" all the way through. Flows damned well. Sounds absolutely awesome. Impressive power gain on dyno, for probably the cheapest exhaust out there.
Just my 2cents.

I had a custom kit made up, 2" from the manifold back, cost 560, but I got a cat and Magnaflow muffler. sounds really nice and bike-ish. pretty raspy tone out of it.
