Default 96 Civic LX Sedan - P0336 code

Hey there guys I'm new to this forum, this is my.first thread, anyways i have a 96 civic lx that while I've been running for a while (about 30 minutes on a hot day) longer on cooler days, its starts to act weird, i would come to a stop at a stop sign and my car would start to shake real bad, then once i leave the stop it feels like i lost a lot of horsepower, my foot is halfway down and the car is just slowly gaining speed and before it gets to 2nd gear it starts to stutter and doesnt want to.change gears (automatic btw) until i let off the gas and get back on it gently, same thing getting into 3rd gear, I've replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, distributor cap, crank position sensor since my check engine light came on and AutoZone told me it's reading crankshaft position sensor(P0336) so i changed it and disconnected the battery to rid of the light but not lobg after started stuttering again and what do you know check engine came back on for exact same code, I'm thinking and have been told it could be a bad O2 sensor car has 126000 miles bought it with 123000 not long ago, so not sure if it has or hasn't been changed if anyone coule help me out been struggling with this for a while now and its just getting irritating. Also whenever i leave my.hood down after it acts up like that its keeps acting like that but when open my hood it's like if it aired out and works perfectly fine

P0336 is an issue with the circuit for the CKF sensor (crank gear) not the CKP sensor (distributor).

My mistake. You are correct. P1336 is the CKF sensor code.

Ohm test the two CKP wires from the ECU connector to look for an open or short and to check the resistance of the sensor.

See my earlier post. Get a multimeter and post your troubleshooting results.

I have the same problem with 96 Accord LX 2.2 non Vtech and manual transmission. Already replaced distributor, crank position sensor, checked connections. Waiting on main fuel relay, but it looked good. Still getting P0336. Is there an easy to understand way of testing the crank position sensor? I see people say to test it? Between which wires, on what end and with the battery hooked up, or not... Thank you
