Does this thing break down any further? i feel like it is gunked up somehwere on the track the cupholder piece slides on. i've got the rest cleaned up pretty good, but it is still hanging up somewhere and it catches when the springs open and doesnt open all of the way without me assisting it.

 

Nope, doesn't break down further than that. Give it one last good cleaning, lubricate the center and end tracks lightly, run it through the motions a few times, should do the trick unless something is broken or jamming it somehow. That shouldn't be too difficult to notice.

 

You can bend the plastic up and over the little lip that keeps the sliding part from coming all the way out. There's two of them you need to do to get it out, you can see them in your picture. If you're careful it shouldn't break.

 

thanks for the replies, i'll try some lubricant in the track again before i try bending the plastic piece. i know what will happen with my luck.
