This damn front end noise!
I know there are a ton of these threads but I have been unable to find a thread or video that sounds like my car does. Basically, when I turn my steering wheel it creaks / pops. I have a video that is really out of focus but you can hear the noise. You can hear it better near the end when I turn the engine off.
Hopefully some one can help me pinpoint this and maybe it will help someone in the future. Upper and lower ball joints have been replaced. I have also replaced the sway bar bushings. It's nearly impossible to just listen and try to pinpoint where it's coming from. The only symptoms I have are this sound. I don't have a shimmy and the car drives perfectly straight. I have sprayed PB blaster everywhere and it does not seem to help (up in the shockpad, around the shock, bushings, ball joints, etc). My uncle and I are thinking it's a lower ball joint that prematurely failed but I figured I'd post here before going and replacing that again. Any thoughts?

I have that same aggrivating noise(For like a year now). I think it is the top of the strut. I initially thought it was the radius rod bushings, but they looked new, and then I even greased them. It stopped for a day or two, then came back. I havent replaced anything on mine yet though, only greased and sprayed oil on things. i also notice, after a big rain...especially when i hit big puddles...it goes away for a few days then coems back
I was also thinking strut. These struts are pretty dang old and more than likely need to be replaced. They work just fine but the paint is flaking off of them and when I got an alignment, the tech said it might be bent.
