Icon2 Wiring help for hatch (not my specialty)

hey guys, recently bought two EG hatchs. A 95 eg vx d15z1, and a 94 eg si shell. Im swapping the d15z1 into the si shell. Heres my problem: the previous owner of the si cut the harness in multiple spots throughout the car. What is the best way to go about fixing this? I do have the complete d15z1 harness and ecu. I don't not have si ecu.

thanks
-phill

Use all the wiring from the z1.

Yes sir. There are some differences in the wiring. this is the easiest. The only thing I'm not 100% on is the sun roof wiring as I can't remember how it's wired.

your other option is to trace each individual wire and repair....

okay.. good news after some digging through the bay, i found out the only thing he cut was the ecu wires and the engine harness. which hopefully this leads to a more relieving question..

As far as i can tell almost all of the connectors look the same. So i should be able to run my d15z1 ecu.. to my d15z1 engine harness.. to the d16 connectors (driver side).. to my d15z1 fuse box (under steering wheel).. if the d15 fusebox will fit all the connectors of the d16 body.

correct me if I'm wrong. This is my first time.

The harnesses are pretty much the same and will plug in. The difference is the wire location in the plugs, some are in the wrong spot. There's all so add stuff like sun roof in the si model and the z1 uses either a 5 wire or 7 wire O2 sensor,I forget which. The si cabin harness(ecu plugs) isn't wired for the 5 or 7 wire O2 sensor. So if you want to use the z1 ecu you would either have to use the z1 cabin and engine harness in the si shell or wire in the 5 or 7 wire O2 sensor to the si cabin harness.

Now that I think of it the si has power windows and locks. You will need to figure out what way is best for you as you have some wiring that will need to be done.

The Z1 should also have EGR wiring as well that the Si won't have. Not sure if those are prepinned on the 92-95 harnesses but if not you'll have to wire that as well.

Im almost sure my sunroof doesn't have electrical as for its stationary? again correct me if I'm wrong. and my O2 is a 7 wire but it shouldn't matter if I'm using d15 ecu, both fuse box's, and complete harness? as for my EGR, Where is the wiring for that found?

Thanks guys

but did some more finding out tonight, basically.. he cut the air bag harness, and the the wires to i think what is call the shock tower, (the wires from the ecu that go through the fire wall to the engine bay). The wires from the ecu that turn left toward the driver side are still intact (as far as i can tell). not worried about air bag atm.. was thinking about cutting my current harness and rewiring connectors. but don't want to risk it so ill just take the time and pull and swap both complete harnesses.
