Hello, I want to install in my Civic '00 cruise control, but I have a problem because I don't have a hole in the firewall to install a second cable from the actuator like this:
Here is my firewall:
I need to cut a hole mount, or maybe it was the second type of cruise control?
Re: Cruise control in EJ6 - no a hole in the firewall
But why in my car I don't have a cap in the firewall for the cruise? I know that there are two types of brain for cruise control, maybe there 3 type for civics 99-00?
Re: Cruise control in EJ6 - no a hole in the firewall
Yeah then get out the hole saw. Touch up the exposed metal when you get the hole cut. Might need to notch out the hole like the throttle cable one. Thankfully that can be your pattern to copy. The holes are identical in size and shape IIRC.

it's the only way to get a factory setup to work. however, like the accords and other various models you can run the actuator cable to the throttlebody rotor. an accord throttle body should be a direct bolt on. this would be the best way to get the correct rotor setup. then you just need to mount the accord type actuator and the rest is just wiring as usual.

I wouldn't recommend swapping just the rotor. this is a factory set and calibrated part of the assembly that can cause problems if not done right.
swapping the complete throttle body assembly from accord (F-series) to civic (D-series) should only require a new gasket and some simple wrench turning. some even come with the bracket bolted to the side.
I actually have one i'd like to get rid of but you said your in Europe so shipping would probably be too much.
