Default Broken trunk torsion bar in 07 Civic

hi

One of the torsion bars in the top of my trunk has broken on the end and now my trunk wont stay up :/

I have an 07 civic coupe and I can't even find the part online to replace it.

It's something like this but for 07 civic coupe. 74872-SNA-J00 | Discount Honda OEM Parts | SPRING, L. TRUNK OPENER | Genuine Honda

I heard people installing struts themselves but I wonder if I should go that route?

I literally can't get this part at a dealership or online. my trunk is hozed without it.

I'm hoping someone here can advise on a good next step, whether find the part, convert to struts, whatever.

Thank you.

You might have to get that from a wrecking yard. I checked Majestic Honda's website and neither the left nor right torsion springs are listed. They are numbered in the parts diagram though...

I would try contacting a local dealer. Do you know the part number? Even if they don't have the part they should be able to help you out with your problem. Honda Service Norwood Ma | Parts Center | Boch Honda Norwood
