Lancer EVO Bar Installed on Civic Coupe
I have received a Mitsu Lancer Evolution RS Rear Trunk Bar for Free.
So I decided to Mod it to fit my Civic.
Here the picture of the Bar:
Here's a Picture of the Bar installed on a EVO.
Here's picture installed on my Car 1995 Civic Coupe:
It only took my about 1 hour to widen the hole, I also had to cut an 1" off the bar and hammer one end so it'll be flat to seat the bolt.
The reason why I bolted it towards the front of the car instead of back end of the trunk is to, access things I keep at the bottom next the spare tire.
Tell me what you think and as for the dents on the bar, I have covered the Trunk Bar up with the carpet.

Thanks for the all the replies...........
I do not know how it feels, did not drive it yet.
I have seen many people buy trunk bars and the ITR has one as well and so does the EVO. So it should do something right ?
Anyways, I got the Bar for FREE....................

not pointless, it ties the frame rails together, those bolts hold the bumper bar to the frame rails....althogh it wont make a noticible diffrence, its part of a complete suspension setup which is in terms greater then the sum of its parts

Re: Lancer EVO Bar Installed on Civic Coupe (fms1day)
but wouldnt hammering that other end down mess up the structural integrity of the bar and defeat the whole purpose?

Actually it's still straight as an arrow.

That's what I thought.
