06 MT Transmission housing stuck
I have a bad carrier bearing that I am trying to get to. I have the transmission out sitting on a pair of 2x4s on my shop bench. I have removed the detent bolts, fill and drain plug, reverse light and speed sensors, and gear shift mechanism. I opened the end cap and spread the snap right. I have separated the transmission housing from the bell housing. I have them about 1 1/4" apart and the transmission housing seems to be caught on something at this point and I can't get it any further apart. The counter shaft bearing has sunk well beyond the snap ring so I it's definitely not that. I am clueless at this point why I can't get the housing off the transmission. I have checked and rechecked the manual and I have hit every single step for disassembly.
If someone can tell me what I am missing or what I might be caught on, I might just bake you a cake. Please help! I am lost.
(edit) I realized that I forgot this bit of info:
