Default Code 8 CEL, top dead center/crankshaft position sensor? Help !

Whats up guys? My Lude CEL light is on and I did the paperclip check for the obd2 connector because a regular code scanner wont work with the ecu. So It blinked 8 times and I looked up the code and there were 3 possibilities: P1359 (disconnected), P1361 (Intermittent Interruption), and P1362 (No signal). I was on the highway earlier and my Lude just started giving out on me. I went from doing 65 to 0 (I pulled over because I was losing way too much power and the part of the highway I was on was slightly uphill ). I've read some posts and many people said it could be the connection itself (possibly loose or gunk-dirty). I read it could also mean that the actual sensor needs to be replaced, which would mean that both the tdc sensor and the ckp sensor would be replaced as they are both on the same harness. What do you guys think?

P.S. I'm also putting in my new clutch today : )
But then I'll need to figure what Im gonna do about this sensor. Probably order the part and do it myself or take it to a shop depending on the labor procedure.

Test them with a multimeter

Normally the area where the sensors sit get dirty and gunked up and the sensors no longer can read the pulleys correctly. You can either first pull the timing belts to get down to the sensor and clean up both the sensors AND the pulleys that the sensors read off of, or you can pick up another sensor set.

Yeaa Im probly gonna get a new set because I just looked at the work to get the timing belts off and reach the sensors. Lets just say its not the easiest task. 'Specially for someone who has never done work on their car to that extent before (Me). Thanks for the input though
