Default 91 accord mainshaft and countershaft sensors

First post here. I've been all over the web and other forums looking for answers and there are a few things I cannot find.

First of all, I've located the mainshaft speed sensor, it's no problem, pretty easy to get to. Here's a picture:

So that is the wire and connector running from the mainshaft speed sensor. Question is, what plugs into that connector? Should it be the vss? When I tried that I discovered that the vss and mainshaft sensor connectors were both male. So that didn't work. What am I missing here?

Question two is where is that damn countershaft sensor? I've looked at diagrams and through manuals and I can't find the thing to save my life.

My problem is that I'm getting a code 9 from the tcu (the flashing s light). So I know that a code 9 is the countershaft sensor. I'm pretty positive that it has some broken wires and it is not connected. And I know for a fact that the mainshaft sensor is not connected, hence the previously posted picture where you can clearly see there's nothing running into that connector. So in all likelihood I am driving without the mainshaft and countershaft sensors, and a rigged vss because that was a different problem in itself. You can only imagine how this thing is shifting.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong area, seemed to be the most sensible one. Any help would greatly be appreciated, this issue has really been getting the best of me.
