Default 05 Hybrid New Radiator Still Overheats

I have an 05 civic hybrid. After owning it for only a couple weeks it started over heating. I took it to the shop and the replaced the radiator. After just a few days it started doing it again. Drove it around for another day trying to be careful, went to put coolant in it and it leaked right onto the ground from the front of the radiator. It's at the shop now and they said all they can tell it needs is another radiator and a thermostat. I don't know if I believe that that's all that's wrong with it. I'm afraid I'm going to get it back and have the same problem after a few days. I was thinking maybe the head gasket needs replacing, anyone got any tips?

Replace the thermostat with one that fails in a open position.
The 1.3 hybrid motor is completely different than a 1.7 lx ex motor and is not known for having head gasket problems.
