I am getting an accord soon, 95 sohc vtec model. It's a pretty good car (my bros car) and runs strong. I want to turbo it, but don't know the experience of others that have turboed the sohc vtec accord motor (f22?). I also heard that the eclipse turbo manifold can fit the block as well, is this true?

I have knowledge on turbos and have friends with turbos and I do my own work on my cars (civics and crx's), done motor swaps and all that good stuff so don't think I'm a newbee... I just don't know a damn thing on the sohc vtec accord engines. Are they strong enough to hold below 10psi on a stock block (fuel management will be afc hack and 450's intercooled).

Have any of you done this before? I'm getting the car sooner or later, but I want it to be fast without swapping in a H22 and bolt ons. TIA

 

man, did you not do a search? there are eventybillion posts about this in this page and the 2nd page most likely.

Anyways, you can run 10psi and make ~250whp ~260wtq on the stock block w/ 450s.

 

its 13 psi with 500's....

 

I was looking all over this page, but didn't see anything (didn't check the second page, but should've done a search but didn' t think many people did it).

Just did a search and came up with nothing accord turbo or boost.
