Default Power antenna for EG

Its a bitch and I look like a **** manually lifting or pulling my antenna down. I know this is a newb question but thats why I'm a trial user right? Were power antennas ever made available for the 5th gen Civics? If not what do you guys think about getting the stock antenna shaved and getting a VW style antenna put on the back of the roof, just infront of the hatch duckbill. The VW antenna is a short fat stubby black one. I've never seen it done on a hatch, anyone have pix? Rice or not?

Power antennas were never offered on the Civics here in the U.S. Some models in Japan have them. I got mine from a 92-95 Ferio SiR rear clip that I found in the L.A. area. So they do exist.

all you gotta do is order a universal power antenna from Metra and install it, you can find the parts or have it ordered at any circuit city or best buy.. if your car is coupe like mine put it by the trunk if its a hatch install it on the front fender.. i know it can be done cause ive seen pics..

Yea, I cant imagine getting very good reception w/ something that small. I wonder if the s2000 antenna would be any better? Probally not. looks good tho.

Does anyone make a back glass with the built in antenna like in the prelude for an eg hatch. I think that would be the perfect solution. Shaved antenna but still have one. Anyone??

I use this. The plugs had to be cut and spliced onto a standard car antana wire. I get better recption than the stock one and it mounted nside my back glass. I don't even notice it with the 35% tint
