Default 2000 Accord EX V6 cannot readout codes from board computer

Hi,

I need to readout the on board computer, but I tried 2 devices (one is a $10k dealer grade device) and cannot read any codes. No communication can be established.

When having the expansive reader connected, I was able to hear clicking relays, but no readout of any codes.

Any suggestions where I can start looking?

The second reader I was using is a HP SPX Tech 2 Flash (Older device but should do the trick).

Under hood fuse box marked backup. You should be able to read all codes with out a reader by using the jump connector. Should be on the right side either under the glove box or near the kick pannel.

I checked the backup fuse (40A) and it was fine.

I also found the connector on the passenger side and jumpered it to readout codes, but nothing.

I am assuming, if there is a code for the D4, than the bulb might have a loose contact and it may have blinked. The D4 light does not come on, when turning ignition into "ON" position, and it should. Light bulb is not burned out.

It would be best to be able to readout with a reader, but not working.

I will try to get a different reader today and try again.

Backup fuse is a 7a not 40a.

After some reading last night, I also thought that it was a 7.5 fuse, but under the hood, on the passenger side, there is a box with fuses and there is no 7.5A fuse in there.

Am I looking in the wrong spot?

Thank you for your help so far!

I checked every 7.5A fuse on the car, they are all good.
(I checked them by pulling them out and doing a visual inspection).

What else could be the problem that the OBC2 cannot be read?

Look at the blue fuses. 5A. Maybe no codes.

Hi,

I will check the blue fuses. Maybe I will use a meter this time to check each one for continuity.

If there were no codes, than at least the OBC reader would connect and show that there are no codes. However, I always get (on both devices tried) that they cannot establish a communication.

I will let you know of the results. Thanks for helping so far! Really appreciate it!
