SABoricua210 Build thread (Pic Heavy)
Hello! For those of you who didnt get to read my intro thread, I'm going to kinda reiterate what I said in that post here, since this is a build log of course.
So here its goes...About a month ago I picked up a completely stock 1999 Civic SI with 61k original miles. It was clean for the most part.
It needed the following
- New a/c compressor,
- Needs paint on the right side, but it isn't too bad,
- Missing kick panels
- No head unit
- Missing PS reservoir and belt
- Needed new spindles
- Right passenger door panel needed replacing
- Needed tweeters
- Rear Speakers dont work
- Needed front speaker covers
Shes in the shop right now getting worked on by Max Ramos at JJ's Performance of San Antonio.
Mods
- Custom 3" CAI w/AEM bypass filter & K&N Air Filter
- Custom 3" Exhaust
- RMF v2 megaphone header
- Skunk2 74mm Throttle body
- Skunk2 Ultra Series Street Intake Manifold
- Skunk 2 Pro 1 Cams
- Supertech Valve Springs w/ titanium retainers
- Cam Gears (can't remember the brand right now)
- Walboro 255 Fuel Pump
- VMS Fuel Pressure Regulator w/guage
- K-Tuned 410cc injectors
- K-Tuned Short Shifter
- Skunk 2 Shift ****
- P28
- Custom tune on E85 and 93 on Neptune
- 7 inch touch screen Panasonic Head unit
- VMS Carbon Fiber Valve Cover dress up kit
- Custom Painted valve cover
My goal is to build a super reliable DD that will eventually run turbo in the next coming months.

Looks nice, are you doing all the work? Or a shop?

So my mechanic hit me with a few pieces of bad news, not terrible tho. He found that one of the motor mounts were torn, and while installing my fuel pump a not so good looking fuel tank. The motor mount has already been swapped out, and the new fuel tank is going in today. We were suppose to dyno today, but with these minor setbacks we're looking at dynoing her Thursday. The valve cover was also being painted yesterday and should be done today.
I attached pics of the problems below

We will be running her on the dyno in about 3 hours. She sounds super mean with those pro 1 cams thrown in, I couldnt believe it.

except for a clean blue one...
Anyway, good job on doing the mild build of the engine to hold off until turbo season instead of having to save shitloads of money to do all of that when you finally decide to go turbo
Just love these SIs, can't find em anywhere unmolested tho...
