Default Wiper Cowl Removal-G3

I feel like i am missing something very obvious with this....how in the hell do you remove the wiper cowl? i removed the clips on the windshield side of the car, but i cannot figure out how to remove the clips on the engine bay side of the car...

please ignore all of the dirtiness...

i'm referring to the clips like the one right behind the battery try location.

Pinch from the bottom and push up.

Or break them all out and replace. Might cost a little more, but no stress when removing them.

Necro bump, but I know Dante still posts quite a bit since I read his build thread lol.

Did you ever get wiper cowl out without an issue? And do you have tips for the clips on the windshield side? It looks like the windshield clips if I use the tiny hook tools can get it off? paranoid as hell to do this as it has never been off on my car and the florida sun is damaging

Replacing my washer squirters and hoses due to the passenger side not squirting.

You can try . The old and brittle ones come out easier than new ones. New ones have more of what I would call a bite. Those front clips aren't that expensive. I would just buy them for peace of mind.

This is pretty much what I did, and most of them got destroyed. I'm not sure if there really is a good way to remove this 100% intact. I did order new clips from a company online, not from Honda. They fit perfect and were really really cheap. Let me see if I can find the link.

I used my hand and twisted the old ones all came out unharmed on the firewall side . I used little pry tools on the windshield side to get it started and 45 degree needle nose pliers. When I put in the new cowl the middle clip was not centered and continued to break three clips. So they all had to come off . Every single new one was destroyed. The windshield side ones all broke. The firewall wall side I had to use needle nose to twist them. They got all marred from the pliers and looked like trash on the new cowl so I had to buy those again too . If you are doing a new cowl install the glass clips first to save you some headaches. Sadly the cowl is now discontinued.

Im afraid of marring my cowl from the pliars...Might as well replace all the wiper squirter hoses and squirters b/c that clog is driving me nuts.
One guy on ebay is selling the new cowl for 500 or so bucks, that discontinued tax... I may just have to get one of those carbon fiber ones and plasti dip it black or something as Im not a fan of the carbon fiber trim

I ended up buying this box of clips before I start taking my cowl apart
https://www.ebay.com/itm/72-Clips-Ho...08dc%7Ciid%3A1

When all the clips come out, does the cowl just come off right after?
