Default Hot weather=Limp Mode!! HELP!!

I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX, it has quite a few issues but most recently anytime it is 80* or hotter outside it goes into "limp mode". It loses all power and will not go above 20-25 mph. If i turn off the engine wait 5-10 mins and restart it will be good to go for a few miles (depends on how hot it is), and then it will go into limp mode again. Ive had it on 3 different code scanners and no codes are popping up. I had been told it could be the camshaft position sensor so I replaced that, and it wasnt fixed so i ran a scan and the only code that popped was for the engine temp sensor, so replaced that and no more codes. Limp mode is still happening! This is my only means of transportation so Im pretty much stuck until I figure this out, I hate to keep driving it when it does this, especially on the highway. Any thoughts on what it could be, being that its not showing any codes? Thanks!

Do you know the code?
Try disconnecting the negative cable to battery for an hour to reset and see if that helps.
Lots of posts about replacing that crankshaft position sensor/TDC sensor helping solve your symptoms. P1361 Code, Engine Runs with half the power - Page 2 - Honda Civic Forum
Other topics to search on: clogged cat, bad ECM/PCM, poor connections or wiring from PCM to TDC sensor and TSB for excessive camshaft endplay.

Does it really take an hour to reset the ecu. I thought if I pulled the ecu fuse for a minute or two it would reset it.

Did you ever get to the solution? I have had the same problem...hot weather and a/c running it trips into limp mode. The code thrown is 02 sensor, but I have replaced it twice...changed the cat...and some other things...Frustrating!

Do you keep getting the O2 code each time? Check for poor connections or loose terminals at both O2 and PCM, check the fuel pressure, check the O2 sensor (recommend OEM DENSO), check for continuity between O2 sensor and body ground, check the PCM.

sorry, guys...my mechanic finally figured it out, but it was bad news....engine oil was leaking into the exhaust (blown engine or rings?) the oil burning was tripping the O2 sensors and code and sending it into limp mode

I finally had to replace the engine
