Got a 99 civic hx speedo not working. No CEL, swapped gauges with known working unit, still same problem. Fuse 15 not blown. Any other options I can try? Any help would be awesome.

 

If u swap the cluster u made sure all components where connected properly?
double check fuse with a meter make sure their right voltage coming in and out ?
Did u check vss sensor?

Well I had a bad vss in my 93 hatch and was throwing a code. Im not throwing any codes. Is there a possibility that I could be bad and not throw a code.

Ok I'll try and source a vss and go from there. Are all d series vss the same? I think I have one on my z6 trans. Or just buy a new one?

 

Does the CEL work.

Rather than replace parts randomly, buy a multimeter and check for power and ground at the VSS connector pins.

 

Yes, CEL is functioning properly. I'm getting a multimeter thursday. How should I go about testing? Turn key to on and test or do I have to lift the front up? And what amps would I be looking for to ensure it's getting proper ampage?

Ok sorry it's been so long. Any who finally got the speedo figured out. Works good, I had to run a wire from my blue/white signal wire to the b11 pin on the back of the cluster. I must of cut it or something lol but all works. Thanks for all the help.
