Have a 1993 Civic delsol that starts but can't get it out of park. If I put the key into the interlock key hole and put it in neutral then I can start it and put into drive. I have power to the interlock solenoid and the brake switch works. Problem is the ground is not being activated? Any ideas on how to correct?

 

 

I took the car to a garage and he told me I was missing the ground at the solenoid. how do you fix that?

 

Cavity 4. Black wire. RonJ just put in a lot of effort to find those pages in the FSM, and post them here for you. Please show some respect for his effort, and take the time to read them before asking something that is clearly answered directly in them.

Yeah, I had to ground it to the frame when my dads went out. But it was so long ago I forgot what I did.

I also was looking it up in the FSM, by the time I found it Ron had already shared it lol!

(so get a FSM )
