Hello everybody!

I'm pretty sure I made a post about this a couple months back but I didn't get a viable solution or cause. The car in question is a 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L with the 2.4L engine. After I start my car and it idles for a little bit it starts making a rattling or buzzing sound. At first I couldn't make out where it was coming from. Definitely not inside the engine compartment, but definitely towards the front of the car. Almost sounding like its coming from the front underside of the car... Ill post a video to explain for itself.

What do you guys think it could be? Rusty heat shields? Power steering? It seems to want to do it when the rpm hits just a tad over 1500. Or while the car is sitting still when I turn the wheel sharp to one side. I'd love to figure it out because I'm going to sell the car and get a new one soon.

The heat shield on my catalytic comverter sounded a lot like that but, that doesn't mean anything. Check the heat shields starting with the exhaust manifold shield. If they look good see if you can tighten any bolts. Don't kill it, just see if it'll snug up a little.

You can jack up the front end and and have a friend give it gas while you pinpoint it. ***USE JACK STANDS***

 

I definitely does sound like something rattling around. I'll lift it up the first chance I get to see if I can find a source. Thanks for the reply!
