Fuel pressure??? New intake manifold & TB
Hey guys,
So I'm about to install some induction parts I've been gathering up and I'm just not sure if I need to adjust the fuel pressure to compensate for the extra air I'll be receiving.
Car - 94 del sol si
Motor - b16a sirII with lsd (1992)
The parts I'm installing are as follows...
DCsports CAI, 4-2-1 header (wrapped), skunk2 pro series intake manifold 70mm bore, Skunk2 alpha 70mm throttle body, AEM fuel rail and FPR.
(I know the rail is just a blingcessory with lower hp but I got it cheap so what the hell right)
Still will have stock injectors, for now. What's the best injectors for this set up for a daily. The rest of the engine is stock for now (also have an exhaust I forgot to mention). What I'm wondering is if I have to adjust the fuel pressure any since the motor will be getting so much more air.
I'm pretty sure the stock pressure should be between 38-42, I may be wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1.) Without a wideband air fuel sensor you are blindly making adjustments
2.) Technology has progressed far beyond adjusting fuel pressure for tuning.
3.) Contact a local tuner and inquire about tuning your OBD1 Ecu with Crome, Neptune or Hondata.

You will need more fuel, but it's hard to say how much pressure would be needed to get you there. Your better bet is to just purchase a Wideband O2 sensor and go from there. With that amount of bolt ons though, you really could benefit from a tune. This would be preferred and a chipped ECU would be required. Stock injectors should be fine for your modifications, but RDX injectors are hard to beat when it comes to atomization / spray pattern as well as bang for the buck.

Thanks for the replies guys,
I'm going to wait on installing everything until I have someone to do a tune, I'm in SoCal, if anyone has recommendations on a good tuner I would appreciate it. I've also been looking into Neptune demon. Since I have a jdm ecu I read I need the original demon 1.2 is this correct. From what I understand is the moated demon I was looking at comes with everything necessary to socket the ecu and install the demon. Also I would like to learn to do this myself. Seems very difficult having never tuned a car. Is that even possible? Maybe I can watch them and have them walk me through it. I've done everything so far on my own...engine swap, porting manifold, will be installing all parts, and all the cosmetic mods done myself
