hi I have a problem with my cruise control on my 00 civic ex. I bought a brand new actuator thinking that was my problem. It did not fix my problem. Ive checked all fuses that deal with cruise control. The problem is when I press the cruise control button to set cruise on the steering wheel the cruise light pops up on the gauge cluster and then shuts off. It stays on for like max 3 seconds but cruise never engages. Its an automatic transmission car. everything is stock on the car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does the car have any other problems? Do the speedometer, brake lights, and gear position indicator in the cluster work?

 

No the car does not have any problems at all. The speedometer works as well as brake lights and the gear indicator in the cluster.
