Icon6 1997 civic lx auto swaping in d16y8 auto

i have the complete 97 d16y8 automatic engine with tranny all mounts dizzy ex harness and p2p ecu,i noticed the drivers side shock tower mount has only one plug on my buddies civic and the ex harness has two?so what is the purpose for the second connector and what will need to be added to make this swap work?i know the lx does not have a secondary o2 sensor so that will have to be manually added but is there any other issues i may encounter while swapping these motors?thank you

Both your car and the donor car are the same year? The LX does have a secondary O2 sensor - whoever told you it didn't was wrong.

! both vehicles are the same year both automatic obd2a,this vehicle is not mine belongs to a friend ive done many swaps but not automatics.i personally have a 96 civic lx 5spd that i swapped out for a d16z6 and i just used the ex harness from a 98 civic ex and used a jumper for obd1 plug and play.but in this instance the cars original harness at the shock tower has 1 plug and the ex harness has two not plug n play need to know what the second connector is for.

I'll be honest, I'm not amazing with wiring. I would double check to make sure the harnesses match, year-wise, though. When I got an OBD2A EX engine harness for my OBD2A DX, everything plugged in just fine, including the shock tower plugs. Parts catalogs are also useless for this one - they all use the same diagram, showing three plugs on the driver side.

I will goto donor car and see where the wires goto, if I have to I can modify the lx harness but that defeats the purpose

I decided to convert the original wire harness to vtec and just used the pinouts for m/t and since the original harness already has two o2 sensors I hope that takes care of the secondary*o2.other than that a couple plugs have to be extended like tps, evap, iacv and iat.should be straight forward from here thanks for the input
